The sixth evening will feature the philosopher Mario Perniola and the popular American novelist Kathy Reichs.

Professor of Aesthetics at the Faculty of Humanities - University of Rome "Tor Vergata", Mario Perniola has published, with Einaudi, Del sentire (1991), Il Sex appeal dell'inorganico (1994), L'arte e la sua ombra (2000), Contro la comunicazione (2004), Miracoli e traumi della comunicazione (2009), whereas Estetica del Novecento (1997), Del sentire cattolico (2001) have been published by il Mulino, and Transiti. Filosofia e perversione (1998) and I situazionisti (2005) by Castelvecchi. He's the editor of «Ágalma», a Cultural Studies and Aesthetics review (www.agalmaweb.org). Many of his books are translated into many languages.

One of the most popular authors of thrillers, Kathy Reichs takes her inspiration from her profession as a forensic anthropologist and professor of anthropology for her characters and narrative plots. She has captivated millions of readers with the fictional character of Dr. Temperance Brennan, who is also one of the best forensic anthropologists in the U.S. and one of the co-protagonist of the popular American television series, Bones. Kathy Reichs' thrillers have been translated into thirty languages and published in Italy by Rizzoli, among them it is worthy to mention Carne e ossa (2006), Skeleton (2007), Le ossa del diavolo (2008) and her last book Le ossa del ragno (2010).
The five finalists of the Strega Prize in 2010 (shortlisted on Wednesday, June 9, at the headquarters of the Fondazione Bellonci) will complete the evening, reading a short text on the topic of the evening.
